Ingredients1 c. oat bran
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. each cinnamon & ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 c. canola oil
1/4 c. light corn syrup
2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray 2 cookie sheets with cooking spray. In a mixing bowl blend oat bran, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger and cloves. In a small bowl combine oil and corn syrup. Beat egg whites until almost stiff. Slowly, about 1/4 cup at a time, add sugar to the whites and continue to beat until stiff and glossy. Stir the liquid ingredients into the dry ones. They will remain crumbly. Stir in half of the egg whites to the oat bran batter to lighten and moisten it, then stir in the other half of egg mixture. Stir until the oat bran and spice mixture and egg whites are well mixed. Drop by teaspoonsful onto the prepared cookie sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Watch closely as they will burn quickly. Ingredients8 oz. Swiss cheese, grated
3 tbsp. cooking sherry (1/4 c.)
2 cans shrimp soup, undiluted
Preparation:
Melt cheese into soup in a double boiler. Add sherry. Pour into a chafing dish or fondue pot. Dip chunks of dried, cubed, French bread (on skewer) into fondue.

Ingredients2 c. peaches or other fruit, fresh or drained
1 c. grapenut
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 tbsp. low-calorie margarine
2 pkgs. Sweet & Low
Preparation:
Place peaches in baking dish. Sprinkle one pack of Sweet & Low and half spices over them. Cover with grapenut, rest of spice and sweetener. Place margarine on top and bake in microwave for 6 to 8 minutes. Enjoy! Very good for breakfast.

1/2 c. brown sugar

1/2 c. chopped dates
4 egg whites, or 1/2 c. egg substitute

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8 inch square baking pan with cooking spray. Combine pulverized oat bran, flour, oatmeal, brown sugar and baking powder; stir in dates. In a small bowl combine the 4 egg whites or egg substitute, oil and vanilla. Add to the dry ingredients, with your hands mix and squeeze the ingredients together until you have formed a dough that just holds together. Pat the dough into the prepared baking pan. Beat the 2 egg whites until stiff, then gradually add the brown sugar, a tablespoon at a time until all of it has been mixed. Spread over the dough and bake for 45 minutes. Cool to room temperature and cut into squares. Calories: 128. Fat: 2.4 grams. Cholesterol: 0. Sodium: 84 milligrams.

Ingredients3-4 lbs. venison
1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. hot water
1 c. red wine
3 or 4 bay leaves (removes wild taste)
1 tsp. dried parsley
1 lg. onion, peeled and quartered
1 1/2 tsp. Lawry’s seasoning salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 carrots, quartered
3-4 lg. potatoes, quartered
Preparation:
Remove ALL fat from venison. Cut meat into 3/4-inch square pieces. Roll in flour. Brown in Crisco and season with Lawry’s. Add hot water, wine, bay leaves, onions and pepper. Cover. Bring to boil; lower heat. Simmer 2 hours. Add carrots and potatoes. Cover and simmer 1 hour, adding water if necessary. Cook until tender. Pressure Cooker Variation: Remove fat. Cut meat; roll in flour, season with 1/2 teaspoon of Lawry’s. Brown in Crisco. Pour off excess liquid. Add remaining ingredients. Cook in pressure cooker for 15 minutes. Let cool; add water if necessary to make gravy.

Ingredients1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar or sweetener
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 c. extra fiber all-bran cereal
1 1/4 c. skim milk
1 egg or egg substitute
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. raisins
Preparation:
Stir together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. In large mixing bowl combine all-bran and milk. Let stand about 5 minutes. Add flour mixture and raisins. Stir only until combined. Spray 12 muffin pan cups with no-stick spray. Divide mixture into 12 cups. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 20 minutes. For reduced calories, use 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons of oil instead of above amounts.
